Today I travelled to Mount Kinabalu area to check on the mountain ascent but it was pouring all night and all day so that was a right off. It will have to wait .... again. Hopefully not another 20 years, not sure I will be up for the climb then. Of course there is always the possibility of getting carried up by a dozen or so strong backed locals. Yep, head hunting is no longer done in Borneo, for sure. no way they would be carrying some stupid geezer up for a ceremony.
Sadly the possibility of getting to see a Raffellesia flower in the park was off due to the weather as well. There is still a possibility in Danum valley.
Meanwhile back to the KK and the fish restaurant. The wall mural of Mount Kinabalu was going to have to suffice.
