Kinabantangan (Day 2)

We went on a dawn boat ride up a side river of the Kinabantangan, the highlight of which was a good sighting of a White-Fronted Falconet, the smallest bird of prey in the world. In an amazing bit of luck I actually got a decent digiscope picture of it. Plenty of other very cool birds however quality pictures are scarce. It seems I have yet another jungle that will require me to adapt my photo methods in order to get anything worthwhile. Definitely should have spent a ton more hours honing my digiscope craft. On the bright side I am still picking up loads of new birds for my life list, learning new plants, new reptiles, insects and new cultures so you really gotta love it!
