After a leisure stroll along the river then breakfast I started with some trepidation the long drive to Manas National park.On the bright side it was all day driving on the bad side it was the same nutbar driver.After 4 hours of insanity we reached Guwahati and that's when the naturalist assigned to me handed me off to an new escort, an Office manager that was going to Manas for a site inspection. Thankfully in the presence of management, the driver was considerably subdued, much appreciated by me.
Arrived at Manas just about dusk and settled in to the room. This place was a re-purposed forestry office building leased out to the lodge owners.It is basic accommodations, no frills, but very clean and comfortable.
